“A young male,” observed Uncle Dave.
“Feeling his oats, no doubt,” said Papa.
“But not brave enough to take on all of us,” Luke declared.
“Hmmmft,” Ami added. “I’ll bet that bear will think twice before messing with the Maresh family again.”

Daisy was still in Daddy’s arms. “That was scary.”
“I know, Baby Girl,” Daddy replied. “But you’re safe. Everybody is safe.”
Mommy and Aunt Jenny and Ami hugged everyone. They were crying.
Uncle Dave wanted the cousins to come and sit on the picnic table so he could check them
out to be sure no one was hurt.
