She gazed off into the forest in the direction where the bear had run away from them.
Papa was watching her. “Don’t worry, Daisy. That bear won’t be back. He didn’t have any
fun here today and he’s smart enough not to try it again.”
Daisy just smiled a little at Papa. She wasn’t worried about the bear coming back.
But she did wonder if he was still hungry and if he was back with his family.

Sitting around the campfire toasting marshmallows before bedtime, Daisy looked up at the
stars twinkling in the sky and thought how peaceful and pretty it was to be outdoors.
Then she looked around at everyone gathered around the fire and she thought how nice it
was to have all the people she loved together on a family vacation.
